The item

Three squares: proven in human trials. Two: a strong signal. One: early human data. Striped: the trials disagree.

Why it works

Its muscle effect is the familiar one. It is rich in leucine and digests fast, giving a sharp rise in amino acids that triggers mTOR and muscle building. The less advertised part is its cysteine. Cysteine is the limiting ingredient for glutathione, so whey supports the body's main in-house antioxidant in a way plain amino acid blends do not.

Drink whey to close the gap to your protein target. Healthy kidneys don't mind.
