When to see a doctor
- Dark, red or cola-colored urine, or passing much less urine, after hard exercise, with sore, weak or stiff muscles. This can be rhabdomyolysis.
- An injury that is very painful or getting worse, with a lot of swelling or bruising, or you cannot put weight on it or walk more than a few steps.
- You heard a crack, the injured part has changed shape, it is numb or tingling, or the skin around it is blue, gray or cold: emergency help now.
- Tired for a few weeks and not sure why, or tired with weight loss or mood changes.
- Performance falling for weeks with fatigue and low mood, even after lighter training. Illness, low iron or eating too little can be the cause.
- Pain that gets worse or does not go away, or you need ibuprofen for more than 10 days.
I am not a doctor. This is not medical advice. This is self-education. Every dose on this page is the one a trial used, quoted from the trial. It is not a prescription. Talk to a physician who has your history before any medicine, and at once for dark urine after training.
