Why it works
Minoxidil does nothing until a scalp enzyme adds a sulfate group. The active form opens potassium channels, which widens the follicle's blood supply and lengthens the growth phase. That enzyme's activity varies from person to person. So the same bottle transforms some scalps and does nothing on others. That is the best explanation for why some men do not respond.
Where it fits
Topical Minoxidil is a move in 4 protocols. Each one opens the plan it sits in.
What people say
Here is what doctors, influencers and men online say about Topical Minoxidil, word for word.
Experts
Clinicians, authorities
“Many people see some regrowth when using minoxidil, but it takes time to see results, usually about 6 to 12 months.”
“Increased hair growth is seen after approximately 4 months of treatment. Generally hair growth is thinner and finer than the original hair.”
“Minoxidil has no effect on receding hairlines. It does not cure baldness; most new hair is lost within a few months after the drug is stopped.”
Gurus
Podcasts, channels, influencers
“This is the big problem with topical minoxidil: its hair growth outcomes are bifurcated.”
“Shedding with both finasteride and minoxidil is usually transient and is not an indication that the treatment is ineffective.”
“However, minoxidil has been shown to be effective at slowing rates of hair loss in people that are starting to experience some hair loss.”
