Zinc
How long a cold lasts, and testosterone in men who were deficient or older, are what it's moved.
Also called Zn, Elemental Zinc
Who it's forAny man swallowing zinc every day for his testosterone or his immune system.
The item
Three squares: proven in human trials. Two: a strong signal. One: early human data. Striped: the trials disagree.
Start today
- Take the standing zinc tablet out of your stack and put lozenges in the drawer.
How you'll know it's working
- Track
- How many days the cold lasts, counted from the first symptom
- When to judge
- Against your usual cold - the trials ran 2.25 days shorter
Why it works
It is basic machinery, not a drug. Hundreds of enzymes need it, and it forms the core of the zinc-finger proteins that switch genes on and off. Its immune role runs through how T cells develop and work, which is why low zinc raises infection risk. The cold-lozenge effect works a separate way entirely. It depends on a high local level of free zinc in the throat, so swallowing a tablet is not the same treatment.
Where it fits
Zinc is a move in 6 protocols. Each one opens the plan it sits in.
