Kefir
Blood sugar, blood pressure and gut bacteria are what a daily glass has actually moved in adults.
Also called Milk Kefir, Kephir, Kefyr, Búlgaros, Tibetan Mushroom, Kefir Grains
The item
Three squares: proven in human trials. Two: a strong signal. One: early human data. Striped: the trials disagree.

Why it works
The grains are a living community of bacteria and yeasts, bound together by a soluble fiber the culture makes itself. Fermentation delivers two things at once. First, live microbes that briefly shift the gut community and raise short-chain fatty acids. Second, by-products such as peptides freed from milk protein. Those peptides block the enzyme that raises blood pressure, a plausible route to its modest heart findings.
Where it fits
Kefir is a move in one protocol. Each one opens the plan it sits in.
