Who it's forA man who has dieted for years, is still far over, and is ready to ask about medicines or surgery.

When to see a doctor
  • On a weight injection with severe belly pain that will not go, maybe into the back: stop it and get urgent care. A swollen throat or trouble breathing: 911.
  • After weight-loss surgery: trouble breathing or chest pain with a painful, swollen leg, severe belly pain, or vomiting blood: 911 now. A fast heartbeat, fever or repeated vomiting: urgent care or your doctor today.
  • BMI of 35 or more with diabetes, sleep apnea or high blood pressure: see your doctor now and ask about medicines and surgery.
  • Very tired, peeing more, thirsty all the time or losing weight without trying: see your doctor about diabetes.
  • Loud snoring, breathing that stops and starts in your sleep, and always tired in the day: see your doctor about sleep apnea.
  • Tired, cold all the time, constipated and gaining: see your doctor about your thyroid.
  • Regularly eating a lot fast and not being able to stop, often in secret: see your doctor before any diet or drug.
  • Drinking every day and planning to stop: see your doctor first. One weight tablet must never start while you stop alcohol suddenly.
  • Low mood, no interest or no enjoyment most of the day, every day, for more than 2 weeks: see your doctor.

I am not a doctor. This is not medical advice. This is self-education. Every figure on this page is the one a trial or a label used, quoted from it. It is not a prescription. Talk to a professional who has your history before starting or changing any medicine.
