When to see a doctor
- Putting everything off with low mood, no interest or no enjoyment for most of the day, every day, for more than 2 weeks: see your doctor.
- Worry you cannot control that affects your daily life: see your doctor.
- A lifelong pattern of being easily distracted, forgetful and never finishing tasks, since childhood, affecting work, study or relationships: see your doctor about an ADHD assessment.
- Tired for a few weeks without knowing why, or with weight loss, mood changes or gasping in your sleep: see your doctor. Blood tests can check for anemia, diabetes or an overactive thyroid.
- Drinking or drug use you cannot cut down: see your doctor, or go to your local drug or alcohol service yourself. If you are dependent on alcohol, get medical help before you stop.
I am not a doctor. This is not medical advice. This is self-education. Every figure on this page is the one a trial used, quoted from it. It is not a prescription. Talk to a professional who has your history before anything in the With a doctor group.
