An evidence-based community for men

Stop working this out on your own. Bring it to the room.

A room of men working on the same things you are, and as many questions as you want put straight to him. The forum is the only place he answers. And there is a file under every answer, so nobody in here is guessing.

One file, as a member opens it

Creatine, and the week most men skip

Cells hold very little ATP and rebuild it constantly. Stored phosphocreatine donates the phosphate that does it, and loading fills that store faster than five grams a day will.

Strong · PubMed 34199420

The mechanism is free. The dosing record, the cost and everything tested against it are inside.

Check anything we tell you, in one click

Every claim names the paper it came from. You can pull it yourself.

Graded, not collected

A forum gives you anecdotes. This gives you the grade, and what failed.

One record a month

Everyone runs the same thing at the same time and posts what happened.

Every citation resolves against

These are the indices a claim has to survive before it gets written down. The links go to them.

This is not for everyone, and that is the point.

You will fit in here

I
You already look things upYou have read a study, or tried to, and got as far as an abstract you could not tell was good.
II
You have been sold something that did nothingAnd you found out late, from somebody who was not selling it.
III
You want the answer before the six monthsNot a story about somebody who tried it. The file.
IV
You would rather be told noA record that says don’t is worth more to you than one that says maybe.

You will not

I
You want to be told what to takeNobody here writes you a protocol. You read the record and you decide.
II
You want certaintyHalf this library is a shrug with a citation under it, and it says so.
III
You are looking for somewhere to sellThe forum is for questions. It is moderated on that one rule.
IV
You are not going to read anythingThe whole thing is reading. That is the product.

You stop deciding it alone, and nothing is kept from you.

Membership is access to the record, not a verdict handed down. You read what was studied, who it was studied in, what came back, and what it costs to try. Then you decide.

  1. Every file in full. How the studies ran, what they measured, what they missed.
  2. What didn’t hold: the claims that returned nothing, with the trial that said so.
  3. One claim set against every other claim sold for the same problem.
  4. Unlimited questions to him. The forum is the only place he answers.
  5. The month, where everyone runs the same record and posts what happened.

Two things men are still sold

Mewing

Sold as a jawline you can train for. Adult jaw and facial bone change has never been measured in a controlled study, so there is nothing to have worked.

Null · nobody has measured it

Uberman / Everyman polyphasic schedules

Sold as buying back hours by breaking sleep into naps. Attention and vigilance fall in every lab that has monitored men doing it.

Contradicted · the trials say no

Both are real records, in the library, with the papers attached.

The room, and the file under every answer.

Know how strong the evidence is, whatever you are asking about.

Every stat is graded against trial phase, because that is what exists for all of them. A claim moves up the ladder when a second team runs it and gets the same answer, and it stays where it is until somebody does.

Instrument: the clinical ladder. Trial phase, replication, regulatory review.

Semaglutide

Activates the GLP-1 receptor, which is the meal-is-done message the gut sends the brain.

Strong · PubMed 27633186

The most asked-about record under this stat. Every one opens on the same five slots, so you can put it next to any other record under the stat.

Nobody who sold you that ever had to show their working. Here it is, on every page.

The men’s advice business runs on confidence. A protocol podcast, an affiliate link, a magazine that never cited anything in eighty years. The format changes and the sourcing never arrives. That is the whole of the argument against it.

This is not a better newsletter and not a better protocol guy. It is a different thing: a library that prints its own refusals, and the man who read it, in a room where you can put a claim to him. If that sounds like less than what you were promised elsewhere, it is. Everything it says can be checked.

How you get told

I
Someone certain says it on cameraCertainty is the product. It is cheaper to produce than evidence.

How it works here

Every claim under the stat shows its working.

He read the stat before he asked you to pay for it. That is the whole of the qualification.

No board of advisers, no doctor lending a face, no certificate photographed on a wall. The only thing standing behind the answers is a library somebody went through end to end, and a published record of every time it came back no.

He went through all of it

610 records across twelve stats, and 896 of the files under the stat carry at least one paper you can pull up yourself.

He prints the refusals

Of the 923 calls made, 313 say don’t. That is the list nobody selling anything has a reason to write, which is why it is the one worth having.

He publishes the empty results too

47 records were tested and the answer came back no, and 218 are still waiting on evidence. Both are printed in the same type as the wins.

When a record here turns out to be wrong it is corrected on its own page and the correction carries a date. That is the only credential on offer, and it is the one you can check.

I will say almost anything. I will not print a single thing I cannot show you where it came from.

Tirzepatide

FDA approved · Biohacking · graded on the clinical ladder

Does it work?
Yes. Around 20% of body weight in its phase-3 program, and it beat semaglutide head to head.
Grade
Strong
How it works
It hits the GLP-1 and GIP receptors together. Two hormonal levers in one molecule, and the pair beats either one alone on both weight and blood sugar.
Where it goes wrong
The weight comes back after you stop, and lean mass goes out with the fat. The first weeks cost you nausea and constipation while the dose climbs.

The file continues

Four more rows, behind the door.

A record is not an essay. It is a form, filled the same way for a peptide, a training method and a prescription, which is what makes two of them comparable at all.

And the rung it sits on

  1. StrongReplicated in humans. The question is settled enough to stop asking it.
  2. ModerateHuman data leans one way. More trials will sharpen it.
  3. PreliminaryFirst human studies look good and nobody has repeated them.
  4. PreclinicalCells and animals. No human has taken it and been measured.
  5. InsufficientSomebody sells it. Nobody has tested it properly.
  6. ContradictedTested, and the trials said no.
  7. NullTested, and nothing happened either way.

A record moves up a rung when somebody repeats the study, not when somebody repeats the claim. That is the entire difference between this and a supplement label.

Find out whether it works on you, with men doing the same thing.

Once a month the men take one record and run it, for exactly as long as the record states, not for as long as anyone stays interested. Then everybody posts what happened. Self-reported, and labelled that way every time.

I
One record, chosen in the roomTalked through first. The discussion is half of it.
II
Everyone starts the same weekSo the reports are comparable instead of scattered across a year.
III
It runs for the stated lengthNot until it gets boring. The duration is part of the claim.
IV
Everybody posts, including the nothingsA month where nothing happened is the most useful post in the thread.

What the room finds is not evidence and is never printed as any. It stays inside, next to the record it came from, marked as what it is.

What the forum is for

Asking first

Somewhere to put the thing in your basket in front of men who will go and check it.

Him, in the room

Put the claim to him directly, and read what he has already answered for everyone else.

Running it together

The month, and the thread where everyone says what it did and did not do.

What the third month looks like

Three records run properly

Each for the length its own file states, not for as long as you stayed interested. That is three answers you have instead of three opinions.

A list of things you stopped buying

The ones you looked up before the cart rather than after the six months. Most men find this list is the longer of the two.

A thread with your name on it

The questions you asked, what he answered, and the file under each answer. It stays there, and so does everyone else’s.

Join New Heroes.

The next one starts on the first of the month.

Whatever you are working on, there is already a record for it.

610 records on 12 stats, and here is every one of them by kind. Nobody reads a list like this. That is fine. The point of printing it is that it can be printed at all: when a man brings something to the room, there is a file waiting rather than an opinion. The number is read out of the library at build time, not typed.

Whatever you are working on, it is already under the stat.

Start from what you want, or from what already let you down.

By the thing you want fixed

Sleep, focus, hair, drinking less, staying interested past week three.

By beat

Twelve stats, one ladder. Everything is graded the same way, so a supplement and a psychedelic can sit on the same page and mean the same thing.

By what didn’t hold

Start from the things that got tested and came back empty. It is the shortest route to trusting the rest.

Both beats are graded on the same ladder, so a supplement and a psychedelic can sit on one screen and their grades mean the same thing.

Open the stat and start where you want.

Everything here is checked before you see it. That is what makes the room worth being in.

All four run before a record is published. The verdict and the instrument behind it are on the free half of every record under the stat.

I
The paper first, then the sentenceWhat cannot be pulled up does not get written down.
II
The source sits on the line it paid forYou can check one sentence in the middle of a record without reading the rest of it.
III
Repetition is not replicationA claim moves up when a second team runs it and gets the same answer. Nothing else moves it.
IV
An empty field is printed emptyWhere nothing was measured, the record says nothing was measured, in the same type as everything else.

Somebody will tell you to try something this week. Look up who checked it.

Every record shows its verdict, its grade and its source without a card. The price of the rest is printed below.

See what it costs

Free gets you the verdict. Membership gets you the room.

Two things set the price: how much of the file is open, and how long it stays open. The renewal, the date and the way out are in the table underneath.

What you are agreeing to

Billing · renewal · cancelling · refunds

Billing
$29 is charged the day you join, then on that same date each month.
Renewal
It renews automatically at $29 a month until you cancel. Your next charge date is printed above the card field before you pay, and again in the email that follows.
Consent
The box that says Charge me $29 every month until I cancel is separate, and it starts unticked. Nothing at checkout is ticked for you.
Cancelling
One click, inside your account, on the screen you joined from. No phone call, no email, no offer to keep you.
Refunds
Ask within 14 days of your first charge and it goes back in full, to the card that paid it.
Paid annually
$261 is charged the day you join, then on that same date each year. It renews until you cancel.
Switching
Monthly to annual, or annual to monthly, from the same screen. The change takes effect at your next renewal and nothing is lost in between.

Fourteen days to decide, and the same two clicks out.

Fourteen days, back in full

Ask inside fourteen days of your first charge and it goes back in full, to the card that paid it. You do not have to say why.

Same screen, either direction

You cancel from the screen you signed up on. No email to write, nobody to talk out of it, no retention offer.

The date is on the page

The renewal date is printed above, before you pay it, and again on your own screen afterwards. It is never a surprise.

You keep what you read

Every record you opened while you were a member stays readable to you until your paid period ends. Cancelling does not shut the door early.

Twenty records are open to anyone, forever, with no card and no account. Read those first and decide from them, not from this page.

Why it costs anything. And what happens when a file is wrong.

Why is the library not free?

It is gated because it is maintained. Free reference sites go stale the month whoever built them gets bored. The subscription pays for one thing, which is somebody going back through the files. The writing on the front of the site stays free, and it cites the library in every piece.

Can I not find all this myself?

Yes, and every file shows you where. The papers are public. Somebody already found them, read the methods, and wrote down which ones came back empty.

What is in there today?

All of it is biohacking, under twelve stats from mood to relationships. Heart & longevity, Mood & anxiety and Muscle & recovery are the deepest; Quitting & habits is the smallest and the one men present with most. Every stat is graded on the same ladder, and the front of the site tells you how many records sit on each.

What happens when a file turns out to be wrong?

It moves. The grade drops, the date on the row changes, and the change gets posted in the forum where you can go through it with everybody else. A file that never changes is a file nobody is checking.

What if I pay and never open it?

Then it cost you $29 and you got nothing. The forum is there whenever you have a question, and the month starts on a set date, so there is something to turn up to. If you use neither, cancel it from the screen you joined on.

Do I have to run anything?

No. The month is optional, and a good part of what is in the library is a reason not to run something.

Can I get something checked?

Post the claim in the forum with where you heard it. He answers there, and the month takes its record off that list.

How do I cancel?

Online, from the same screen you joined on, in one click. The renewal date and the renewal price are printed there the day you join, and the rest of the terms sit under the ladder.
